Coconut Shy

Coconut Shy Stands & Wooden Balls Bring all the fun of the fair to your event! This game is supplied with 5 metal coconut stands (1 mtr tall) to be knocked into a grass area and some wooden balls. We do not provide any enclosed frame shelter surround on basic medium sized game hire, but you could hire our small 3m sq Marquee, without some of the sides and this will be perfect to play the game, see our Marquee Hire page for details.

Object of the game: Place 5 coconuts on top of these stands and one player throws 3, 4 or 5 wooden 5.5cm balls at the coconuts to try and knock them off the stand, if they succeed, they win the coconut (not supplied).

Ideas: Instead of coconuts why not use other items like footballs, pineapples or small melons etc for that extra fun! coconuts can be purchased fairly cheaply from most large supermarkets, remember to get enough coconuts for your event.

Safety Tips: If possible try to set this game against wire fence e.g tennis court, any clear space with a hard wall background, use a 10ft gazebo frame or any boundaries, to absorb the impact of the wooden balls, or construct a simple backdrop with poles and blankets.

Set-up: Outdoor use set-up area is recommended, but this game can be used Indoors if the metal stands are put into buckets of sand (5 buckets of sand are required by the hirer) and then soft throwing items are used instead of the wooden balls.

Hire & Set-up Requirements & Whats Included:

Power Supply: No power is required for this game.

Access into the venue: At the time of booking/enquiry the hirer must inform us of any particularly difficulties regarding delivery and collection i.e: parking, long distance to carry equipment and any other possible obstructions.

Set-up: The dimensions of each game are shown above, the hirer must check the area space available, take into account any obstacles and ensure you have enough clear space at the venue to move around the games for playing. If you are unsure of your set-up area just email a picture to us so we can confirm if the area is suitable. We always recommend you have a contingency plan in case of bad weather on the event day.

Safety: Children must be supervised by adults at all times when playing games.

We will always discuss the above with you at the time of any enquiry, we are a professional company with many years experience and we do like to ask questions regarding your event, this ensures there are no problems on the day.
